Yeson Music Award granted at the 22nd Sung-Jung National Music Contest
In August, Ha-Gyum, Kim (from Kyungki Arts high School) and Jooyoung, Ma (from Seoul Arts High School) received Yeson Music Award at the 22nd Sung-Jung National Music Contest organized by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This contest is sponsored by Suwon province.
The National Music Contest held at Gyeonggi Arts Center is for helping young artists realize their goal of performing overseas.
Since 1992, it has been already 22 years opening Sung-Jung National Music Contest and this contest has been considered as an A class contest during the Performance and Art Competition for three consecutive years.
YVC has been awarding the $1.000 scholarship to two top winners every year since 2009.
Dr. Kim said, “It will be my pleasure to see those two students develop their career as a professional world opera singer. Also, I’m very grateful of this opportunity which I can make contribution to the development of Culture and Art Industry of Korea.”
