Yeson Voice Center has participated in the 20th World Congress of the International Federation of Otorhinolaryngological Societies (IFOS) took place on June 5th at Coex Convention Center, Seoul, Korea.
As this is one of the largest and most anticipated gathering of ENT affiliated professionals in the world, around 5,000 ENT specialists from 110 different countries were gathered for this congress.
Remarkably at this forum, Dr. Hyung-Tae Kim was introduced as a representative ENT specialist in Asia and he threw a pitch regarding his research findings on Vocal Folds Shortening and Advancement of Anterior Commissure, which increased the status of Korean Medical Technology.
This research was based on the results of 181 patients who had received ‘Vocal Folds Shortening and Advancement of Anterior Commissure’ at Yeson Voice Center from the year 2003 to 2011 and data indicated that their average voice fundamental frequency was 129.7Hz and showed the increase of average of 78.3Hz enabling to them to reach 207.3Hz in average after 6 months of time from their surgery.
Comprehensive Voice Examination including aerodynamic tests, psychoacoustic evaluation, and etc was also held after their VFS surgery and it proved the effectiveness of this VFS surgery.
